Trump’s loss is a repackaged version of an effort that Roger Stone rolled out in 2016.
[W]hile Stop the Steal may sound like a new 2020 political slogan to many, it did not emerge organically over widespread concerns about voting fraud in President Donald Trump’s race against Joe Biden. It has been in the works for years.
Its origin traces to Roger Stone, a veteran Republican operative and self-described “dirty trickster” whose 40-month prison sentence for seven felonies was cut short by Trump’s commutation in July.”  Stone’s political action committee launched a “Stop the Steal” website in 2016 to fund-raise ahead of that election, asking for $10,000 donations by saying, “If this election is close, THEY WILL STEAL IT.”

‘Stop the steal’: The deep roots of Trump’s ‘voter fraud’ strategy – In the early hours of a frosty November morning in Connecticut, 49-year-old Candy snuggled into her bed after a long night shift.  She immediately unlocked her phone – and began scrolling through her social media feed, as she does most nights.
But this was different – it was election night. The result was still hanging in the balance. Candy scrolled, catching up on the night’s news while waiting for her favored candidate to speak out. And just after 1 a.m., he did: We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 4, 2020
Trump laid groundwork for ‘Stop the Steal’ in 2016 tweets Donald Trump posted the first two tweets on Oct. 17, 2016. The third appeared on Nov. 27, 2016. And the final tweet hit the platform on Jan. 25, 2017. Then House Speaker Paul Ryan said he’d “seen no evidence to that effect. … I’ve made that very, very clear.”

This was all part of Trump’s groundwork to condition his supporters to believe that the only way he could lose an election would involve chicanery. He was so successful at establishing this fiction in GOP minds that they supported his refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election. On Jan. 5, 2021, Trump tweeted “I hope the Democrats … are looking at the thousands of people pouring into D.C. They won’t stand for a landslide election victory to be stolen.” https://www.timesnews.net/opinion/blogs/trump-laid-groundwork-for-stop-the-steal-in-2016-tweets/article_70e3e34c-5c00-11eb-bce1-bb1841fc3baa.html

Russia-linked Twitter account posted ‘StoptheSteal’ 102 times starting in April 2016
The Information Operation Archive (IOA) contains records for Twitter user CathyTo47590555, a prolific account attributed to Russia. A search for the username in the IOA turns up 313,065 results. That matches the number of tweets listed in the account’s Twitter profile because the listed number is based on the IOA’s datasets. It’s possible there are more tweets that were lost when the account was banned.

The Fairness Doctrine mandated broadcast networks devote time to contrasting views on issues of public importance. Congress backed the policy in 1954 and by the 1970s the FCC called the doctrine the “SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT OF OPERATIOIN IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.” Under President Ronald Reagan, The FCC eliminated the policy in 1987.. And as a consequence, the United States has become more polarized than ever in modern history.

Top right wing researcher Ron Filipkowski reveals how he EXPOSES the DERANGED MAGA Cult!

Stop the Steal issued new guidance to its network of volunteer poll monitors.
‘Stop the Steal’ campaign has long ties to Roger Stone
President’s then-adviser launched a site with that name in 2016
It
is an internet battle cry: Stop the Steal has swept across inboxes,
Facebook pages and Twitter like an out-of-control virus, spreading
misinformation and violent rhetoric — and spilling into real life, like
the protest planned for DC this weekend.
But
while Stop the Steal may sound like a new 2020 political slogan to
many, it did not emerge organically over widespread concerns about
voting fraud in President Donald Trump’s race against Joe Biden. It has
been in the works for years.
Its
origin traces to Roger Stone, a veteran Republican operative and
self-described “dirty trickster” whose 40-month prison sentence for
seven felonies was cut short by Trump’s commutation in July.
We will continue our deep dive into the subpoenas from the Jan 6 committee with @SandiBachom and Joe @DempseyTwo. Yesterday we broke down the militia groups – Tonight we follow the money, Roger Stone and Alex Jones.
